Please call our office and have the following information available:
Your patient’s signalment
What hospital you are calling from
What procedure are you looking to have performed?
Is this an emergency procedure?
Having this information readily available will help us to assist you quickly and provide more accurate estimates for all treatments and procedures that may be necessary.
Use either our online scheduling system here or call us at (253) 503-0086 to get your pet scheduled. After booking your appointment, our automated system will send you, via email, a questionnaire regarding your appointment.
Please be sure to fill out our questionnaire at least 24 hours in advance! We will send reminder texts and emails 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Completing this questionnaire will greatly help us to keep our check-in process quick and easy for all of our clients, and our pets involved!
All pets must be fasted starting at midnight the night before their procedure. A small amount of water in the morning is fine. If your pet has eaten that morning, please notify the staff. We may need to reschedule your pet’s procedure; however, depending on our schedule for the day, we may still be able to perform their surgery later in the day.
Take note of your appointment time, as this will be your check-in time. Please arrive for your scheduled time promptly. We have a limited number of rooms and want to try and minimize contact between pets for safety reasons, and it also helps to decrease the stress levels between pets.
At check-in, the staff will review an estimate for the day’s services based on your answers from the questionnaire, information regarding the procedure and answer any other questions you may have. Your signature will be required to confirm that these are the services you would like to have performed, and you will be provided with a total cost that will be required to pay at the time of discharge. We will remove all of your pet’s belongings (collar, harness, leash, etc.), place a paper ID collar, and bring you pet to our treatment area where they will rest until their procedure.
They will be given all of the love that you give them at home, and maybe even more!
We will be in contact with you during the day with messages as we are starting with your pet’s anesthesia, after the procedure is completed and is awake in recovery. We will also coordinate a pick-up time with you via text message as well.
One our staff will have you wait in an exam room, where they will review at home care following your pet’s procedure, and any other questions that you may have. We will have you sign a digital copy of the discharge summary, which will also be emailed to you.
After all of this, we will escort your pet back to you, where we know they’ll be more than thrilled to see you!
Over the next couple of days, your pet will need to have some rest, relaxation and pampering while they recover. We will text you the next day to see how your pet is doing. Anesthesia is always a big undertaking, and we want to make sure you feel comfortable with your pet’s recovery. We also just love hearing about your pets and your experience while they were in our care!
