Grit City Vet was born out of a simple truth: it can be difficult to get surgical care because of long waitlists and rising costs.
Founded by Dr. Corey Michel, a general practice veterinarian with a passion for surgery and a heart for community, Grit City Vet was built to bridge that gap. After several years of relief work in numerous clinics, he saw how difficult it was for some to get surgeries scheduled — or how hard decisions had to be made based on price alone — Dr. Michel set out to do something different.
By focusing exclusively on surgical procedures, keeping overhead low and working with primary veterinarians, Grit City Vet can offer prompt, high-quality, accessible care with pricing that meets people where they are.
